Peer Mentor Orientation Volunteer your services to help reach out to the community with opportunities for a summer position with incentives! Here's how to become a MENTOR!!!!!!  The Project Peer Mentors is a grant funded program through Pima Prevention Partnership. It is made up of teens ages 14-18 who are interested in helping the community on the benefits of abstaining from drugs, alcohol, premarital sex and promoting healthy lifestyles.
Becoming a Peer Mentor can become a valuable experience and is an opportunity to develop transferable skills. For example:
- Build strong leadership skills
- Organize and participate in service projects
- Mentor at local and middle schools
- Attend training meetings to learn and discuss the main points of abstinence
- Bring the abstinence message to the community through local health fairs
The trainings, meetings and planning events all take place at The Learning Center located at 1346 N Stone Avenue(corner of Stone and Drachman)
