Peer Mentor Orientation

Volunteer your services to help reach out to the community with opportunities for a summer position with incentives! Here's how to become a MENTOR!!!!!!

TeensThe Project Peer Mentors is a grant funded program through Pima Prevention Partnership. It is made up of teens ages 14-18 who are interested in helping the community on the benefits of abstaining from drugs, alcohol, premarital sex and promoting healthy lifestyles.

WHAT???
Becoming a Peer Mentor can become a valuable experience and is an opportunity to develop transferable skills. For example:

  • Build strong leadership skills
  • Organize and participate in service projects
  • Mentor at local and middle schools
  • Attend training meetings to learn and discuss the main points of abstinence
  • Bring the abstinence message to the community through local health fairs

WHERE???
The trainings, meetings and planning events all take place at The Learning Center located at 1346 N Stone Avenue(corner of Stone and Drachman)

WHEN???

HOW???
If you attend one of our trainings, you will get information that needs to be filled out and also go through an interview process.
